Artec 3D Gold Certified partner to speak about 3D solutions in healthcare at university jubilee event
University of Paderborn in Germany is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, offering numerous workshops, lectures, lab experiments, presentations and discussions to enjoy. One such festive opportunity is 3D printing up-close – an open day event scheduled for June 11 on the university campus. The event aims to help you explore the impact of 3D printing on human lives, also addressing its economic and environmental impact. The open day will bring together both newbies and experienced innovators, top industry representatives, and anyone interested in 3D printing. This unique mix of specialists will be an excellent chance to scout talents, meet new partners, and dive into the exciting world of additive manufacturing.
Countless industries and applications revolutionized by 3D solutions will be presented at stations and stands set up on campus. Design and manufacturing, healthcare and food industry – to illustrate the practical use of technology and how it influences everyday lives, the University arranged hands-on demos, lab tours and lectures. One of these will be delivered by Antonius Köster, the renowned 3D expert and Artec 3D Ambassador, CEO of Antonius Köster GmbH & Co.
In his lecture “3D printing is healthy – practical experience,” Köster will show how Artec 3D hand-held solutions have been instrumental in the medical area, and share some insights into using Artec Leo and Eva to create neat 3D models for further 3D printing. Eva and Leo have long been industry favorites – while Eva is famous for speed and versatility when scanning medium-sized objects, the upgraded wireless Leo boasts soaring levels of precision and gives you a flawless scanning experience under any conditions. Both devices easily create ultra-clean models to 3D print virtually anything.
