Artec Shapify Booth and handheld scanners at CES 2016
Las Vegas is not only famous for its casinos – in early January the city hosts one of the largest and longest-running trade shows for innovations and consumer technologies, the International CES® (Consumer Electronics Show). According to the organizers, the 2015 CES was the largest show in history with over 2.2 million net square feet of exhibit space featuring more than 3,600 exhibitors, including a record number of startups. Innovators showcased the latest across categories like automotive electronics, personalized health care solutions, unmanned vehicles, connected devices, 3D printers, gaming and more. The show is traditionally complimented by a conference, which in 2016 will feature 220 cutting-edge sessions empowering attendees with the knowledge to stay at the forefront of innovation.
Artec will be bringing its hi-res portable 3D scanners and instant full-body 3D scanning system, Shapify Booth, to CES 2016. Also in focus will be Space Spider, which was developed for scanning at the International Space Station and debuted on the market in 2015. Space Spider is our most robust, ultra-precise handheld scanner, demonstrating fantastic repeatability of scanning results even in changing ambient conditions. Its prototype, Spider, will also go on show to amaze you with its ability to capture the sharpest edges and thin ribs. And check out Eva, which has the largest field of view and highest scanning speed among Artec handhelds. The data collected by these scanners is processed in our comprehensive software, Artec Studio 10, featuring powerful algorithms that automate much of editing and post-processing.
At CES, we’ll also be making 3D portraits of attendees in Artec Shapify Booth. Shapify showcases Artec’s ultimate automatic full-body scanning technology taking only 12 seconds to scan a person and 15 minutes to produce a ready-for-print 3D model in brilliant color. A Shapify Booth can become a perfect revenue booster for parks, shopping malls, airports and other venues with a heavy footfall as people are beginning to embrace the new mini-me trend. If you want to get a 3D printed mini-you, come to our stand to get scanned in the Shapify Booth, then just choose the figurine size you want and leave us your shipping address – you’ll receive your figurine a few weeks later. Figurine prices start at $169 for an S-size figurine (6"/15cm). An M-size figurine (7.5"/19cm) will cost you $219 and an L (9"/23cm) is worth $299. Delivery is $35. You can also download your 3D model from the Shapify website for $40.
