Artec 3D announces CGI Industry Ambassador Jama Jurabaev
Using a range of Artec 3D scanners, Artec 3D’s CGI Industry Ambassador captures stunning detail for his work
Artec 3D is pleased to introduce a partnership with their new Artec CGI Industry Ambassador, Jama Jurabaev. A concept artist, illustrator, and a renowned art director in the movie and gaming industry, Jurabaev is no stranger to incorporating high technology into his work. Based in London with art direction in leading Hollywood productions and beyond, Jurabaev’s work can be seen in such high-profile productions as Ready Player One, Aladdin, Mandalorian, and Jurassic World.
In his role, Jurabaev will participate in Artec 3D events; develop creative content that highlights the integration of Artec 3D technology in real-world projects; collaborate with Artec 3D’s product development team, offering insights and feedback based on industry needs and personal experience to help refine and enhance the technology.

Already a keen user of Artec Space Spider and Artec Eva, Jurabaev has now expanded his portfolio to include Artec Leo. Wireless, incredibly portable and exceptionally easy to use, Leo is an ideal choice in the film industry, and fits seamlessly into a variety of workflows.
“Eva allows me to scan medium-sized objects, and Space Spider is perfect for fine details. With Leo, I can scan and see what I’ve captured immediately, which is very precious,” he said. “I have a lot of ideas, and with Leo, I’m looking forward to attempting things I have never tried before, like full-body scans and different artistic poses, maybe even people in movement.”
“Oh, and outdoor scanning! Because of Leo being wireless, I’m so excited to just scan in random places and see where creativity takes me.”
On his personal website and social media platforms, Jurabaev invites all to share in his exploration of 3D art, from character development to different programs and software he experiments with. The latest of them all: Artec Studio.

“I’m not a very technical artist. In my work, I prefer to focus on the artistic side of my process,” he said. “The combination of scanners and Artec Studio allows me to iterate and experiment, and in case something went wrong, I can see it straight away and readjust my workflow.”
Artec 3D is committed to supporting the implementation of Jurabaev’s innovative ideas that utilize the company’s scanners, showcasing the transformative potential of our technology.

“We are excited to see how Jama increasingly integrates our 3D scanning technology into his work,” said Artec 3D CEO & President Art Yukhin. “By sharing his experiences and new projects, Jama will not only highlight how 3D scanners can unlock new possibilities and elevate the quality of work, but also inspire the broader creative community, and the industry.”
