Free webinar: Master 3D scan-based reverse engineering with Oqton
What: 3D scanning and reverse engineering the Golden Gate Bridge monument
Where: Online webinar
When: Oct. 30, 2024, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM PDT
Join Artec 3D Gold-certified Partner Indicate Technologies and software developer Oqton for a free online reverse engineering masterclass this October.
During the session, attendees will learn how to optimize data capture, processing, and reverse engineering results – in particular using the Geomagic Design X software.
As well as gaining advice from Indicate Technologies’ expert team, participants will get the chance to ask questions of an engineer from Oqton, Design X’s esteemed developer.
The walkthrough itself is set to be based on a real-life use case: the reverse engineering of the Golden Gate Bridge monument. Capturing the structure’s hollow, girder-like geometry proved no problem for the wireless, adaptable Artec Leo, which did so with high accuracy.
Of course, Leo has already 3D scanned part of a San Francisco bridge some 185 feet over a bay, so this is hardly a surprise… but the results are said to be fantastic. So, it’s worth tuning into the webinar, both for guidance and to see this 3D model – with extensive restoration, preservation, and design applications – for yourself!
Whether you’re an engineer, architect, or simply want to discover more about the technology, this is the webinar for you. Sign up to secure your place here.
