Freedspace/Thinglab to exhibit at Inside 3D Printing Melbourne
In May, Melbourne is hosting Inside 3D Printing, one of the largest professional 3D printing and additive manufacturing events worldwide. The tradeshow will run alongside a conference led by industry experts. Artec’s distributor Freedspace / Thinglab will participate in the show to present 3D scanners Artec Eva and Space Spider and Artec Studio 12 3D scanning and data processing software.
The 3D resolution of up to 0.1 mm makes Artec 3D handheld scanners go-to tools in aerospace, the automotive industry, healthcare and other fields where you need to take measurements of real-world objects with metrological precision and convert meshes into solid models that can be used in CAD environments.
Artec Studio 12, which was released in April 2017, features an array of optimized algorithms, such as base removal and global registration, which make 3D data processing much faster than before. You are now able to automatically delete the floor or table your object was scanned on along with the walls behind it, even if those are curved surfaces, and one of the most time-consuming algorithms Global Registration now works up to 10 times faster.
The software also offers improved rendering of 3D models for better viewing experience; smart memory management and ultra-compact data compression for efficient use of disk space; automatic adjustment of sensitivity settings for getting the best results while scanning with Artec Eva, and many more enhancements.
