Artec 3D, Gold-certified Artec reseller GoEngineer, and Geomagic developer Oqton are inviting designers, engineers, and manufacturers to Santa Clara for a deep dive into the complete 3D scanning, reverse engineering, and inspection workflow.

During the event, visitors will get the chance to check out every Artec 3D scanner in person and ask Artec 3D, GoEngineer, and Oqton specialists for insider hints, tips, and tricks. As the show goes on, attendees will be treated to live demos of the full scan-to-CAD process – from live data capture to processing this into a 3D model – and learn how best to utilize the results.

First on stage will be Artec Spider II: Artec 3D’s latest target-free handheld 3D scanner. With the help of GoEngineer’s expert team, visitors can expect to learn how to capture small parts in extremely high detail, align and register captured data, and apply any finishing touches.

Artec’s first laser scanner, Artec Point, will also be demoed during the showcase. GoEngineer plans to provide insights on how it works, workflow optimization, and metrology applications.

For those with advanced 3D scanning needs, the Geomagic software team will be on-hand to offer guidance throughout the event. In the morning session, they’ll demo Design X for reverse engineering, and in the afternoon, they intend to present their Control X inspection solution.

Finally, any attendee who wants to see how 3D scanning can be used in their specific application can bring a part for capture and analysis on the day.
