AWE 2020: Learn all about photorealistic 3D scanning for VR/AR online with Artec 3D
Augmented World Expo (AWE) is the world’s leading AR/VR conference and expo hosted in the USA, Asia, Europe, and MEA four times a year. Produced by non-profit AugmentedReality.org, AWE brings together thousands of industry professionals each year – developers, creators, founders, product leads, investors, and journalists – to catch up on the latest and greatest in AR/VR.
Undeterred by the current global restrictions, AWE will be hosting this month’s global conference and expo online. The event will be spread across four days (May 26-29) and will feature more than 200 speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors on three concurrent streams, and eight hours of content per day.
At the conference, expect to hear from Artec’s 3D Channel Manager Anton Bosneaga, who will give a talk on photorealistic VR/AR asset creation using structured-light 3D scanners and photogrammetry for eCommerce, GameDev and other industries with large 3D asset libraries.
At the online expo, you’ll be introduced to – among others – Artec Eva, our best-selling 3D scanner. With structured-light technology, Eva is ideal for capturing mid-sized objects at speed and in high resolution. Lightweight, fast, and easy-to-use, Eva is a perfect go-to scanner that both entry-level and experienced professionals rely on in such industries as rapid prototyping, quality control, CGI, heritage preservation, automotive, forensics, medicine, prosthetics, aerospace, and many others. Remember that famous 3D scan of Barack Obama? Yes, you’re right, it was made with Artec Eva. Need we say more?
We’ll also cover the latest developments in the scaling of AR/VR asset creation, and explore the options available to create AR/VR assets, and how to save time and improve output quality by using 3D structured-light geometry with photogrammetric textures.
Want to know more about how structured-light 3D scanners and photogrammetry fit in your 3D asset creation pipeline? Then, see you at AWE 2020. We’re looking forward to meeting you, and answering your questions!
