HD Mode for 2x higher resolution
The resolution of your scan data steps up 2x while removing noise for you, leaving you with the tidiest noise-free 3D model. Hard-to-reach areas and difficult-to-scan surfaces such as thin ridges or sharp corners are now easier than ever to capture, with enhanced reconstruction and improvements to edge curvatures. Forget about texture bias too – there’s no room for false geometry from high-contrast texture here. Expect true-to-life 3D models in stunningly high resolution.
For excellent geometry and color representation.
We’ve packed Leo with advanced tech to capture rich texture, adjust to lighting conditions, and perform precise texture-to-geometry mapping. Leo has a two-in-one optical system, an integrated supercomputer on a module, position sensors with 9 DoF, and VCSEL light technology that varies flash intensity.
Level-up your photogrammetry
Take CGI photogrammetry to the next level using scan data from Artec Leo, with photos from your own camera. Bring it all together in Artec Studio in one seamless process to get stunning, life-like 3D models with perfect geometry and the texture quality you want.
Versatile, reliable software
Powered by Artec Studio and Artec Cloud integration, this versatile scanner is now more powerful than ever. The software enables you to scan directly to the cloud, remote-control the scanner, and even build your own functionality with a dedicated API and SDK. Leo is also regularly updated with performance enhancements and stability improvements.
Capture both fine details and larger parts with a single scanning solution.
With a 160,000 cm-cubed capture zone, Leo is truly versatile when it comes to size. It excels at capturing both medium-sized (20-50 cm) and large (50-200 cm) objects and surfaces. However, if paired with a powerful computer, it can take on even very large objects (200+ cm) or even entire spaces, such as rooms or crime scenes.
Typical objects for Leo:
- Gearboxes, castings
- Automotive parts
- Turbines, ship propellers, small boats
- Statues, and the human body
- Furniture and room interiors
- Crime scenes
Got a question about Artec Leo 3D scanner?
-
What is HD Mode for Artec Leo?
HD is a scanning mode powered by artificial intelligence algorithms that allows you to create sharper, cleaner, and far more detailed 3D models with a resolution 2X higher than that of the original SD data. In HD Mode, a resolution of up to 0.2 mm can be achieved and your Leo can capture much smaller and thinner elements, hard-to-reach areas, black and shiny surfaces and other parts that were difficult or impossible to capture before. HD Mode is available for Leo and Eva scanners running Artec Studio 15.1 or higher.
Find more information about HD Mode here.
-
What types of objects can I scan with Artec Leo?
Thanks to its extended field of view, Leo excels at capturing both medium-sized objects such as gearboxes, castings, furniture, statues, and the human body, as well as large objects like automotive parts, turbines, ship propellers, small boats, and room interiors.
-
How is Leo different from other scanners?
Leo stands out by being completely wireless. Unlike other 3D scanners that need to be connected to a computer or tablet to display scanning results, Leo has an integrated computer and touch screen onboard, where you can see results in real-time.
-
Why is it important that Artec Leo is completely wireless?
When it comes to 3D scanning of medium and large objects, such as cars or airplanes for example, portability is key. A regular 3D scanner connected to a PC for scanning can be inconvenient to carry around and maneuver, especially for hard-to-reach areas. With Leo, this is not an issue. You can walk around the object holding the Leo like you would a video camera, without worrying about the wires that could get in your way, or needing to switch to a different screen to see the results. It’s all there, conveniently combined in one single unit.

Redefining power and performance
With greater power comes high accuracy
It may be small, but it is mighty. Leo’s new NVIDIA Jetson TX2 chip runs at more than twice the power of its predecessor, while using less than 7.5 watts of power to give you guaranteed accuracy.
Upgraded multi-core processing
The NVIDIA Denver2 adds two cores and even more horsepower to what’s now a Heterogeneous Multi-Processor Architecture, with 2GHz on each of six cores.
Accuracy guaranteed
Go about your work confident that the 2022 Artec Leo will consistently provide the accurate, clean, sharp results demanded of top-tier, professional precision instruments. Your extensively tested device comes with a calibration certificate to guarantee performance, and temperature control for regulated results – plus, you’ll never lose this accuracy with Leo’s specially designed calibration board.
Smarter capture for superior color
Even color, every time
Texture too dark or too light? Not a problem. Leo now automatically adjusts the texture’s brightness when scanning in close proximity. This means that even when lighting conditions are unstable, you’ll get even-lit 3D models, every time.
Smaller projects, faster processing
The size of the texture has been twice reduced, thanks to the new texture optimization algorithm, resulting in faster project loading and processing, and reduced size of the whole Leo project.
Multilingual interface
To make Leo more accessible to professionals around the globe, 2022 Artec Leo’s interface is available in six different languages: English, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish.
